The Medicinal Goods Administration (TGA) has announced that it plans to make cannabidiol ( CBD) products available on the counter, with some caveats: a maximum daily dosage of 60 mg, a 30-day supply period, and can only be taken orally (commonly in liquid form in a dropper or edible like gummies).

Though a stigma has long been attached to cannabis products in Australia, the federal government recently announced $3 million in new support for clinical trials involving medicinal use.
